Deprecation notice for wet_bulb_globe_temperature/2.0

As of 19-05-2026, the dataset wet_bulb_globe_temperature/2.0 has been deprecated. As of 01-08-2026, the dataset will no longer receive updates. You are advised to use the updated dataset wet_bulb_globe_temperature/3.0.

The wet_bulb_globe_temperature/3.0 uses a new method to determine the factor of direct sunlight which is used to calculate the WBGT. The calculated WBGT values can therefore be different when compared to the deprecated wet_bulb_globe_temperature/2.0. Furthermore, a new column named ‘heat_force’ was added to the CSV files which is a 0 - 10 index conversion of the WBGT. Latitude (‘lat’) and longitude (‘lon’) columns were added and a timestamp in ISO 8601 format was added on the first line of the CSV file.

Because of these minimal changes, we expect most users should be able to switch to the new dataset by only changing your endpoint from wet_bulb_globe_temperature/2.0 to wet_bulb_globe_temperature/3.0 and ignoring the first line of the CSV file.
